Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking an on-site production associate responsible for maintaining curd production tables, monitoring pH, and ensuring compliance with GMP and SQF standards. You will perform CIP, assist mold changes, and support lab sampling while maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

Ideal candidates will follow DFA policies, attend required safety trainings, and contribute to quality and sanitation across processing areas.

Qualifications

• Follows DFA GMP and related food-safety requirements.
• Attends required training including HACCP and SQF.
• Maintains safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Demonstrates honesty, discretion and sound judgment in line with DFA values.

Responsibilities

• Monitor curd pH and ingredients.
• Add salt to tables and complete production logs accurately.
• Perform CIP on tables as needed.
• Relieve cooker/molder operator when required.
• Assist with changing RMC molds.
• Submit samples for lab testing.
• CIP tear downs of curd tables as needed.
• Clean the curd augers.
• Keep the work area in line with 5S standards.
• Ensure health, safety and regulatory compliance across operations.

Job description

General Purpose Make sure tables in production area are in good condition before curd is pumped into them. Ensure cheese meets specifications and PH is at specific level before draining whey and adding water.

• Monitor curd PH's and ingredients
• Add salt to tables* Complete production logs accurately
• Perform CIP on tables as needed
• Relieve cooker/molder operator as needed
• Assist cooker/molder operator to change RMC molds
• Submit samples for lab testing
• Assist CIP crews in tear downs of the curd tables
• Clean the Curd Augers
• Keep work area clean and up to 5S standards
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive
• Follow all DFA good Manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
• Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment
• Adhere to all DFA Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety and GMKP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity
