The Table Games Training Supervisor is responsible for providing training support, instruction, and learning opportunities by assisting with the preparation, presentation, facilitation, monitoring, evaluating, and documenting training activities within the department.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating department orientation for all new hires and transfers within their respective roles (dealer, dual rate dealer, supervisor, etc.).
- Acting as the instructor for approved games training for both new and experienced dealers.
- Preparing and offering specific training programs to help team members maintain or improve job skills as approved by Human Resources, Compliance or Table Games leadership.
- Delivering group and/or individual instruction and training as required.
- Monitoring and collecting follow-up performance reviews to ensure consistency and obtain feedback from the Table Games Shift Managers.
- Responsible for preparing, updating, modifying training procedure manuals, SOPs, Rack Cards, guides, and course materials such as handouts, PowerPoint presentations, and visual materials.
- Documenting attendance, performance evaluations, audition results, and any required or assigned administrative support.
- Maintaining and updating the Table Games Training Calendar with the approval of The Director.
- Tracking and reporting on required compliance training.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Skills To Help You Succeed
- Proficiency with all Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, including Bravo, Oasis, and KRONOS.
- Ability to analyze and interpret training needs and results.
- Knowledge and understanding of all casino games, operations, and current industry trends.
- Ability to complete assigned duties within approved times.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including extended hours across all shifts, to provide training and service to all team members.
- May be required to cover an instructor’s supervisory duties for class periods.
Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of table games experience.
- At least two (2) years of games training/teaching experience.
- A degree in a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience may be substituted.
- Must comply with all state gaming regulations and obtain a Pennsylvania State Gaming License (G2).
Physical Requirements
- Work environment includes exposure to smoking, flashing lights, loud sounds, and large crowds.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
