BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):

This is a dual position that will work as both Table Games Dealer and Supervisor. While performing the duties of a Dealer, the primary purpose of the Dealer position is to effectively deal all games assigned to our guests in a manner that portrays both the professionalism and service standards set forth by the management of The Mill Casino. While performing the duties as Supervisor, the primary purpose is to effectively supervise the daily functions of the Table Games pit area, specific to assigned games and dealers, and maintain the integrity of our operation through enforcement of established policies and procedures.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
  • Efficiently deal/supervise the table games as described in established policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with federal, state and tribal regulations.
  • Maintain under normal circumstances an average game pace.
  • Deliver to the best of your ability and job limitations, a level of superior customer service.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of all signatory paperwork specific to your game.
  • Effectively represent yourself in matters of payroll and operational integrity.
  • Exhibit a personal leadership style that reflects professional excellence, integrity and a mature understanding for the necessity to guard and control confidential information.
  • Participate in mandatory informational meetings and training sessions as scheduled by management.
  • Understand and demonstrate company and department philosophies, and actively promote this philosophy to the guests and employees of The Mill Casino.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):

  • Must have successfully dealt at a credible gaming establishment, be certified through a credible dealing school or pass a training program through the Table Games Department at The Mill Casino.
  • Must pass an audition with representatives of the Tribal Gaming Commission and the Table Games Department of The Mill Casino. Audition must be dealt using established policies and procedures of The Mill Casino.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand and bend for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally sit. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure and manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
