Welty Energy, an affiliate of Welty Building Company, LLC., seeks a Project Manager to lead the planning, organization, and coordination of engineering, design, procurement, and construction activities for major capital distribution projects.

Role requires remote work with residency in PA or WV and occasional travel to client sites. You will be the primary client contact, perform technical reviews, manage schedules, and mentor junior staff as part of a national team.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of three years in project management for electric utility sector.
• Experience in utility project management preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate with all applicable stakeholders to ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary client liaison for project activities and deliverables.
• Conduct technical reviews of specifications, drawings, contracts, and construction documents to ensure constructability.
• Schedule and lead project planning and status meetings to maintain schedule and budget adherence.
• Provide regular schedule and budget updates to management teams and stakeholders.
• Oversee and coordinate construction package reviews, pre-award meetings, site visits, and document control.
• Act as the single point of contact for Construction on submittals and coordination of project information.
• Identify and communicate necessary clearances, right-of-way, and outages to minimize schedule disruptions.
• Support mentoring and training of Project Coordinators and assist Portfolio Managers as needed.

Calling on all Project Specialists, Project Coordinators, Assistant PM's and even Engineers looking to make a pivot! Welty Energy, an affiliate of Welty, is a professional services company specializing in program and project management, transmission line engineering, substation engineering and construction oversight on transmission, substation and distribution projects ranging in voltages from 4kV to 765kV.

Headquartered in Akron, OH, and working nationally, Welty Energy currently manages approximately $500 million in construction projects for electric utilities in the Midwest and Northeast regions of the U.As such a Welty Energy is looking for a APM to join our team! On a day to day basis you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the completion of all activities for the low voltage engineering, design, procurement, and construction of major capital projects and programs specific to Distribution lines.

While this role is remote the team member does need to reside within or close to the state of PA or WV, with travel to client site as required (15-20%).

As a Welty Energy Project Manager, you may:

• will coordinate with all applicable stakeholders on your project(s) to ensure that communication across the lines is established and maintained throughout the life cycle of the project(s).
• will be the primary point of contact with the client regarding your project(s).
• will conduct technical reviews of specifications, drawings, contracts, addenda, and other construction documents to ensure constructability with our client's standards and specifications while utilizing the technical expertise of others as needed.
• will schedule and conduct project planning and status meetings to ensure schedule and financial adherence to projects are being maintained and significant issues are clearly disseminated to relevant participants.
• will provide schedule updates of the engineering, construction, and budget status of each project to the appropriate management teams (internal and external).
• will oversee and coordinate construction package reviews, pre-award meetings, field visits, and pre-award project site walk-downs.
• will be the single point of contact for Construction on submittals, reviews, and coordination of required project information and documents.
• will ensure that necessary clearance points, right-of-way, and outages are identified, submitted, and communicated in a timely manner to avoid schedule interruptions and conflicts with other projects in the area.
• will support mentoring and/or training of Project Coordinators.
• will assist the Portfolio Manager(s) with the coordination, preparation, and reporting of significant activities on construction projects and programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or relevant experience in electric utility project management.
• Minimum of three years of experience in project management for the Utility sector (electric power or gas).
• Electric utility project management preferred.
