Abbott is seeking a Systems Verification Engineer I to join our on-site team in St. Paul, MN.

This role contributes to a fast-paced Systems Verification group, applying testing expertise and leadership to advance evolving medical device products. Day-to-day responsibilities include test execution, data analysis, and documentation; test method development for motion control and robotics; fixture design (ECAD/MCAD); and programming in LabVIEW and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completion/progress in Engineering Field or equivalent.
• Fundamental understanding of professional system test engineering and development lifecycle management tools.
• Organized, on-time, detailed oriented, and quick learner.
• Awareness of standard project management skills including project leadership.
• Documentation skills in delivering information that adds value to management’s decision‑making process.
• Quantitative, analytical, organizational, and follow‑up skills.
• Communication – written documentation and presentations/discussions/meetings.

Responsibilities

• Test execution, data analysis, and documentation.
• Develop and validate test methods for motion control and robotics.
• Fixture design (ECAD/MCAD) for motion control/robotics.
• Electrical, hardware, and software engineering contributions.
• Programming using LabVIEW and Python.
• Assist and lead testing projects including estimation, planning, and deliverables.
• Plan, write, and execute test cases per Abbott practices, FDA regulatory, and ISO procedures.
• Participate in requirements, hazard analysis, and design reviews for new features.
• Involvement in detailed analysis, technical reviews, and process improvements.
