Job summary

MAARS Info is seeking a Systems Test Engineer in Sylmar, CA for a 12-month assignment with potential extension based on performance. You will develop and execute test protocols for Web and Mobile apps and manage a Remote Care Systems Engineering lab.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute System Test Protocols for Web Applications and Mobile Apps.
• Perform manual and automated test procedures per protocols.
• Report defects, re-test, and conduct functional, regression, exploratory, and ad-hoc testing.
• Apply technical knowledge to verify embedded systems and low-power mixed-signal modules.
• Maintain the Remote Care Systems lab equipment and software and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, QA, and Regulatory teams.

About the Role:

• This position is for a Systems Test Engineer who will be responsible for developing and executing System Test Protocols, conducting system testing of Web Applications and/or Mobile Apps, and managing laboratory logistics for a Remote Care Systems Engineering lab.

Responsibilities:

• Perform system testing of Web Applications and/or Mobile Apps (Android and iOS)
• Execute different types of test procedures (Manual/Automated) as per the test protocols
• Report issues, conduct re-tests, and perform functional, regression, exploratory, and ad-hoc testing
• Apply technical knowledge and understanding of product fundamentals in a functional area
• Work in a quality system environment to ensure compliance with regulations
• Maintain the Remote Care Systems lab with up-to-date equipment and software

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field
• Experience in general engineering/science principles and laboratory skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
• Quick learner with good communication skills and ability to analyze data needs
• Display initiative, creativity, and leadership in troubleshooting and making recommendations for continuous quality improvement

Required Skills:

• Strong electrical hardware, software skills, and systems level verification testing experience
• Ability to configure test setups and perform test protocols to characterize and verify embedded systems and low power mixed signal modules, circuits, and circuit boards
• Capable of documenting testing into formal reports
• Interface with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, and other groups
• Perform system testing of Web Applications and/or Mobile Apps
• Conduct ad-hoc, exploratory, and regression testing
• Maintain laboratory logistics for a Remote Care Systems Engineering lab
