You will perform C and Python systems programming for low-level networking and Linux kernel integration, and contribute to PCIe architecture alongside high-performance networking offloads.

You will gain hands-on experience, document progress, and deliver an end-of-internship presentation while collaborating with the Digital Advantage Mission Ops team.

Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 1+ year of professional or academic C and Python software development, Linux kernel familiarity and Knowledge of Networking fundamentals
• Familiarity with git and different Linux software development tools
• US Citizenship is required due to the nature of our work.
• Ability to work onsite at our Arlington, VA office.

Overview of Opportunity

Two Six Technologies is actively seeking a Systems Software Engineering Intern to join our Digital Advantage Mission Ops team. We are seeking several interns for this 12-week internship program, which will be conducted onsite in Arlington, VA.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

• Familiarity with git and different Linux software development tools

Nice to have

• Experience in systems programming in C and Python (low-level networking and hardware-facing code)
• Knowledge of Linux internals (kernel modules, drivers, device enumeration, debugging below userspace)
• Familiarity of PCIe system architecture (topology, addressing, peer-to-peer, virtualization, and passthrough).
• Understanding of high-performance networking (kernel-bypass packet processing, hardware offload, line-rate data paths) and out-of-band management (BMC and REST-based interfaces with automation) concepts
