Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Systems Software Engineer in the Storage and Memory Systems group.

You will design, develop, and demonstrate system-level software across the full stack, collaborating with AI/ML, hardware, and system architects to evaluate concepts and guide product direction. You will port and optimize software for heterogeneous systems using C/C++, Python, CUDA/SYCL, and emulators like QEMU, enabling hardware capabilities before availability and debugging across

Formación

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years, Master's with 5+ years, or PhD with 2+ years in CS/CE or related field.
• Experience with GPU programming runtimes (CUDA, SYCL, OpenCL, PyTorch).
• Strong C, C++, Python, and shell scripting on Linux with multithreading and IPC.
• Experience enabling hardware system capabilities via software.
• Deep understanding of heterogeneous compute architectures and cross-boundary debugging.

Responsabilidades

• Develop software and port apps to demonstrate hardware proof-of-concept features.
• Collaborate with AI/ML, software, hardware teams to study future AI workloads.
• Design experiments to evaluate new system features and hardware behaviors.
• Build Linux apps/libraries using C, C++, Python, Rust, SYCL, and/or CUDA.
• Create emulators to predict system-level performance before hardware availability.
• Debug issues across application, kernel, OS, libraries, and hardware boundaries.
• Use emerging AI tools to accelerate development and analysis.
• Present findings to internal Micron customers.
