• Apply standard configuration baselines and STIG checklists to assigned lab or development components under guidance.
• Assist in assembling inputs for Security Assessment Plans and assessment activities.
• Support basic control verification activities and collect test evidence during integration or lab events.

Systems Security Engineering Intern

V2X is seeking a Systems Security Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN supporting cybersecurity for advanced mission systems. These systems include mission computers, avionics, sensors, and mission equipment for airborne and ground platforms. As a Systems Security Intern, you will work with experienced security and systems engineers to help protect mission critical systems through secure configurations, vulnerability management, and RMF support activities.

Responsibilities

During this internship you will assist with security documentation, baseline hardening, evidence collection, and basic assessment tasks while learning DoD RMF and NIST guidance. You will collaborate within cross functional Integrated Product Teams where effective communication and teamwork are important.
