Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a well-qualified Systems Security Engineer I (P1) to join our SSE team in developing solutions to protect the Warfighter’s technology advantage. This onsite role emphasizes cyber security, software assurance and supply chain risk management for embedded weapons systems.

Raytheon is seeking a well-qualified Systems Security Engineer I (P1) to join our Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team in developing solutions to protect the Warfighter’s technology advantage. Systems Security Engineering creates holistic security solutions leveraging Cyber Security, Software Assurance and Supply Chain Risk Management to support Program Protection Implementation on embedded weapons systems. Join our highly visible team and perform technically challenging assignments, which will directly contribute to protecting our nation and our Warfighters. This is an onsite position at Raytheon.

What You Will Do

• Perform analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results
• Create patch artifacts such as patch media and information assurance posture reports; run regression tests on the system
• Validate secure configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications, and other assets, using DoD approved scanning and assessment tools such as Nessus, STIG, Evaluate STIG, and/or RADIX
• Create and maintain Linux Bash and Python scripts

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Linux Bash and Python scripting
• Basic understanding of the systems engineering process
• Cyber Certifications in accordance with DoDD 8570/DoDD 8140 such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH
• Knowledge/course work of radar, signal & image processing, digital communications, control theories, estimation theory and/or electro optics
• Active/Current DoD security clearance or SSBI

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD.
