Job summary

C&A Tool in Indiana is seeking a Systems Security Engineer to join our aerospace/industrial/medical device focused team. You will support CMMC mapping, SSP documentation, and network security for CUI systems in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires hands-on firewall and network experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while collaborating with IT and facilities staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of enterprise IT and networking experience.
• Recent experience as Systems Security Engineer.
• Familiarity with CMMC regulations and NIST requirements.
• Strong enterprise network knowledge (TCP/IP, switching, routing, VLANs, wireless).
• Advanced knowledge of Next-Generation Firewalls in the enterprise.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivated, detail oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal skills and a strong team player.
• Strong organization and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CMMC mapping compliance, documenting polices and procedures
• Develop and assist with network maps of existing systems
• Identify and document System Operational status
• Document data flow within the CUI systems and external
• Define and document SSP scope of CUI based on workflow, systems, and people
• Assess, Plan, and document POAM
• Work with Champions to develop workable solutions and provide status updates
• Report to IT Manager for direction and progress
• Perform general administration of network devices as needed for CMMC

Additional Skills/Knowledge Preferred:

• Recent on-site network security experience in manufacturing environment
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computing Infrastructure, or Cybersecurity
• Hands-on experience and certifications with Fortinet and Cisco networking
• Relevant Network and Security certifications a plus
• Familiar with Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, Networking and helpdesk.
