SUMMARY:
saturn petcare inc. is seeking a skilled Systems & Security Administrator to administer and protect the company's IT infrastructure, identity systems, network, application integrations, and security operations at our Terre Haute, Indiana manufacturing facility.
This is a hands-on, technical role that combines systems administration with cybersecurity across a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment, including Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration, zero-trust identity controls, endpoint and threat protection, network administration, backup and recovery, and workflow automation. The position is the day-to-day technical owner of these systems and works under the direction of the IT Director, within the standards, plans, and priorities set by IT leadership. The role supports continuous food manufacturing operation.

Work Schedule and Availability:
This position is based on site at the Terre Haute facility and generally works for standard business hours. Because the facility operates on a continuous production schedule, the position requires availability outside of normal business hours for security incidents, critical outages, and planned maintenance windows, which are typically scheduled during evenings, weekends, or shutdown periods. After-hours coverage is coordinated with the IT Lead & IT Director.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None. This position reports to the IT Director and may provide technical directions to contractors, interns, and external service providers.

Education and/or Experience:
Preferred: 5+ years of combined systems administration and security experience, including experience as the day-to-day technical owner of an environment of comparable scale, and prior experience in a manufacturing or other continuously operating environment.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write clear technical documentation, routine reports, and correspondence. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical employees and to deliver security awareness training to groups of employees. German language skills are a plus, as the position coordinates regularly with our parent company in Germany, but are not required.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations, including capacity planning, license and cost analysis, and interpretation of security and performance metrics.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to prioritize competing issues under time pressure and to exercise independent judgment on system design, configuration, and incident response decisions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

This position works primarily in an office environment within an active food manufacturing facility. The employees will regularly enter production, warehouse, and utility areas where personal protective equipment, good manufacturing practice requirements, and food safety protocols apply, and where noise levels can be moderate to high. Work in server and network equipment rooms is also required.
