Job summary

You will operate and monitor Interurban Production facilities to ensure reliable water service. Responsibilities include monitoring pumps, tanks and filters, performing routine maintenance, and upholding safety standards.

• Manages outlying stations in terms of pumpage, tank levels, and pressure requirements.
• Performs light or routine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by management.

Posted Range: $37.33

Key Accountabilities

• Performs duties necessary to maintain and ensure the reliable operation of the Interurban Production facilities including, but not limited to, chemical feed systems, required process control testing and analysis, filling of day tanks, management of pumping and filter operations including filter washing and any additional filter treatment that may be required.
• Manages outlying stations in regard to pumpage, tank levels, and pressure requirements.
• May also perform light or routine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by management.

Experience/Education

• 0-2 years of experience in the water industry.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to pass a motor vehicle check.

Work Environment

• Swing shift (days/afternoons/overnights), which include working holidays and weekends. You will work 3 days on, 2 days off then switch to 2 days on, 3 days off. This includes working night shifts. Day shift is 6a-6p. Night shift is 6p-6a.
• Must work in a safe and productive mannger at all times.
• The individual must be able to perform the essential functions and meet the physical requirements for the position. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to being able to sit in a chair or stand for long periods of time, walk (short and long distances), climb stairs, climb a ladder or work on scaffolding, lift 50 pounds unassisted.
