Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. seeks a Systems Operations Lead to act as the operational control point for the production environment, monitoring nightly batch cycles, closes, and system health to prevent business‑impacting incidents.

You will analyze signals across platforms, communicate with stakeholders, and lead incident management and root‑cause analysis. The role requires extensive data processing experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work in a

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of data processing experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient with standard desktop tools, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Autosys, RMJ, CA-Scheduler, CA-7, IBM scheduler; familiarity with AutoOps and IBM Content Manager (CMOD) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Client-service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain nightly turnover and incident logs and databases.
  • Maintain and develop operational documentation, procedures and standards.
  • Support on-time delivery of user and client deliverables.
  • Maintain change processes for operation review and approval.
  • Support automation processes and software; recommend automation tools for notifications and operational processes.
  • Support BBH Disaster Recovery process and procedures.
  • Support and enhance the use of Splunk for monitoring and alerting.
  • Provide 24x7 technical support and perform monitoring of operational alerts.
  • Meet all service level objectives associated with production alerts and failures.
  • Add or modify scheduling for both mainframe and distributed platforms.
  • Conduct 1st and 2nd level problem determination, resolution and documentation.
  • Evaluate and test software in support of system upgrades or processing adjustments.
  • Interact with Systems and user groups for implementation of new and revised applications and software products for all platforms.
  • Interface with all hardware, software and service vendors.
  • Review and evaluate all operational issues and events to develop more efficient notification, avoidance and reoccurrence.
  • Develop historical statistical reports for user and operational research.
  • Review production turnover documentation to ensure requirements and schedules are met.
  • Identify and document incidents and problems across all platforms.

Benefits
  • Salary range (NJ): $100,000 – $150,000 base salary plus annual target bonus.

Compensation may vary by location, skill level, and experience.

Alternate shift: 4pm–12am Monday‑Friday.
