Job summary

PeopleTec is seeking a Systems Integrator & System Administrator in Huntsville, AL, to design and operate GPU-based Linux infrastructure for an on-prem AI system. You will manage NVIDIA drivers, CUDA, containers, storage, and secure the environment while supporting installation, testing, and sustainment.

The role requires DoD experience, 5–8 years preferred, travel ~25%, and the ability to obtain CAC and a Secret clearance. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of systems integration and system administration experience in a DoD or controlled environment.
• Hands-on GPU-based Linux systems with NVIDIA drivers, CUDA, and compute workloads.
• Experience securing Linux systems using STIGs and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience deploying containerized systems with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Ability to travel ~25% and obtain CAC and a Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Systems Integrator & System Administrator to support our Huntsville, AL location.

PeopleTec is seeking a Systems Integrator & System Administrator in Huntsville, AL, to build and operate the computing infrastructure for an on-premise AI system supporting the H-1 flight simulator. You will manage the GPU-based development and training environments, prepare and secure systems for customer use, support installation and integration, and maintain the infrastructure through testing and sustainment.

Duties

• Specify, build, and maintain GPU-based computing, storage, and network infrastructure for AI development, training, and testing.
• Build and maintain the development and training environment, including Linux systems, containers, GPU software, storage, and backups.
• Secure and maintain systems in accordance with applicable STIG, vulnerability-management, and CUI requirements.
• Install and integrate systems at the customer site, support testing and demonstrations, and troubleshoot system or integration issues.
• Manage software, model, and data transfers between controlled environments while maintaining required security and data-handling procedures.
• Develop system administration documentation and support transition and sustainment of the environment.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience

• Preferred experience range: 5-8 years of systems integration and system administration experience in a DoD or similarly controlled environment. Demonstrated ability to perform the role will be considered regardless of total years of experience.
• Hands-on experience building and administering GPU-based Linux systems, including NVIDIA drivers, CUDA, containers, and storage/networking for compute-intensive workloads.
• Experience securing Linux systems using STIGs, vulnerability scanning, and remediation processes.
• Experience deploying and maintaining containerized systems using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
• Ability to travel approximately 25%, including extended on-site support for installation, testing, and technical reviews.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) for customer system accounts and site access.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant professional or military experience may substitute for a degree.

Desired Skills

• Flight simulator or training device facility experience, including work alongside instructor operator stations and simulator networks
• Distributed simulation network setup (HLA or DIS) and RTI configuration
• Security+ or equivalent certification; familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 controls
• Experience writing administrator documentation for a Government customer
