Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Systems Integrator to support a SI/SETA mission for a government customer in Virginia. The role requires translating client requirements into system architectures, developing specifications, and coordinating between program customers, technical teams, and end users.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years as a System Integrator, plus a Bachelor's with 12 years or a Master's with 10 years, and a current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of relevant government SI experience, or Master’s Degree with 10+ years.
  • 10+ years as a Systems Integrator for a government customer with multiple stakeholders.
  • 2+ years SI experience in engineering support including cyber operations, communications, supply chain, asset tracking, or deep-sea communications.
  • Experience writing technical requirements, evaluating contractor design documentation, and developing system flow charts.
  • Experience planning, implementing, testing, documenting and maintaining enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Experience analyzing telecommunications and networks to meet technology needs.
  • Strong written, communications and interpersonal skills for briefing non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple contracts, tools, and funding streams.
  • Experience writing and releasing government customer communications.
  • Willingness to travel and work on multiple fast-paced projects.
  • Self-starter with initiative; eager to learn USPACOM area and organization activities.

Responsibilities

  • Translate the client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications, or process designs.
  • Act as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems.
  • Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain enterprise-wide solutions to total system or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products.
  • Analyze and identify all or part of a company’s existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs.
  • Establish functional and technical specifications and standards, solve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem.
  • Provide direction for design activities.
  • Be responsible for providing System Engineering and Integration support to fast-paced operational projects.
  • Work with senior management, technical project directors, systems engineers, customer stakeholders, mission partners, and development contractors to ensure systems are deployed properly and maintained throughout the mission lifecycle.
  • Identify integration issues and resolve such issues through TEMs, cross-organizational coordination, and other appropriate methods.
  • Provide input to program management processes including schedules, monthly status reports, budgets, actions tracking, and weekly highlights.
  • Provide project management support for quick-turnaround projects; develop budgets, project plans, resource plans, logistics, requirements, and architecture design.
  • Support the segment in developing long-term mission roadmaps.
  • Track day-to-day schedules and establish processes to track progress of technical projects.
  • Track projects utilizing specific accesses and ensure targeting sets between programs are exchanged.
  • Develop and maintain program management processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain configuration baselines and change management processes.
  • Validate, document, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and maintain integrated operations schedules and ensure programs follow those schedules.
  • Drive and inform future technical decisions with information from mission partners.
  • Support requirements development, verifications, and traceability.

Required Qualifications:
  • An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of relevant experience; or a masters degree and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Systems Integrator (SI) providing services for a government customer with more than one stakeholder.
  • A minimum of two (2+) years of experience providing SI services for engineering support involving either cyber operations, communications, supply chain expertise, military asset tracking, and/or deep-sea communications support.
  • Experience with SI work (writing technical requirements, evaluating contractor design documentation, developing system flow charts, etc.).
  • Experience planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining enterprise-wide solutions to total system or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products.
  • Experience analyzing and identifying all or part of a company’s existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs.
  • Must have strong written, communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to prepare and brief complex technical and non-technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with managing multiple complex contracts, contracting tools, and multiple funding streams.
  • Experience writing and releasing government customer communications.
  • Desire and ability to work on multiple fast-paced projects.
  • Self-starter who will take initiative for helping manage key parts of complex technical developments.

  • The ideal candidate must possess demonstrated cultural competency and the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Candidates should also have proven experience and/or relevant education specifically related to working within the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USPACOM) area of responsibility. Familiarity with the unique geopolitical, social, and cultural dynamics of the USPACOM region is essential for successfully performing in this role.

Desired Qualifications:
  • A Master’s degree or higher in a technical field such as Engineering, Science, Technical, or related field.
  • Experience working in customer environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Customer's processes and procedures to minimize the learning curve for project/task navigation.
  • Demonstrated effective client management skills to include experience managing across offices and organizations.
  • Relevant Cultural and language competency is highly desired.

Peraton is seeking experienced Systems Integrators (SI)to join our talented team of technical and business experts providing key operational and mission support to a SI/SETA mission for a customer in Virginia.

Using a holistic approach, the ideal Systems Integrator will possess the knowledge and technical expertise in system execution, development process, governance, and documentation of requirements for establishing functional and technical specifications and standards, solve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem.

Our unique team of technical and business disciplines provide operational support for Systems Engineering and Integration, Mission Planning, and Business Operations to multiple functional mission areas. The team is responsible for the technical design, operations, and mission planning and business operations for the full life cycle of customer specific operations (from concept through development and installation/O&M).

In this role, the Systems Integrator will act as a Technical Advisor/Consultant to critical SI/SETA activities and serve as a primary interface between the Program customers/stakeholders, the technical development team, and end users. They will ensure robust requirements definitions, execution and development processes, solutions as well as support testing/training in advance of the deployment of technical capabilities. They will be expected to support multiple efforts and will assist the customer in making informed decisions related to requirements and developments. They will also assist with the deployment of technical capabilities while serving as a focal point to balance various equities and operational considerations.

The Systems Integrator will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
