Job summary

DTNA is seeking an energetic engineer to develop the next iteration of industry leading Commercial Vehicles. You will be part of the Systems Engineering team focusing on Frameworks & Powertrain systems, with exposure to the entire development process from customer requests to vehicle execution.

The role requires a fresh perspective, a passion for solving hard problems, and a collaborative attitude as you contribute to design, validation, and continuous improvement across DTNA products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited University with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient communication in verbal and written form.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work to deliver high-value activities.
  • Demonstrates initiative to solve problems and provide future-thinking solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across departments.
  • Experience preparing and presenting data to stakeholders.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite.
  • An attached resume is required.

  • Author assigned system requirements and define interdependencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for the responsible system and DTNA process.
  • Identify and champion process improvements within DTNA system engineering.
  • Execute robust requirement authoring practices.
  • Contribute to an inclusive team culture.
  • Own project deliverables related to systems engineering.
  • Analyze problems and offer technically feasible solutions during concept selection.

We are looking for an energetic engineer ready to develop the next iteration of industry leading Commercial Vehicles. The Systems Engineering team is responsible for defining functional requirements to satisfy user experiences and customer criteria to deliver industry leading features. This role is on a team that focuses on the development of Frameworks & Powertrain systems, which includes Thermal Management, Body Communication & Operation, Compressed Air, Power Take Off, and Fluid Storage & Delivery. In this role, the candidate will have a front seat to the entire development process of customer requests to product execution in vehicles. The ideal candidate will bring a fresh perspective to DTNA with a hunger for diving into our development process and having their fingerprints on all our products.

Position offers a starting salary range of $71,000.00 - $91,000.00 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Authoring of assigned system requirements and definition of system interdependencies
  • Work with cross functional stake holders to ensure system requirements for our products are understood, allocated, and meet quality and safety standards
  • Subject matter expert for responsible system and adherence to DTNA System Engineering development process
  • Identify and champion process improvements within DTNA system engineering process
  • Execution of robust requirement authoring best practices
  • Active contribution to inclusive team culture
  • Ownership of project deliverables associated to systems engineering
  • Analyze and provide creative, technically feasible solutions during system requirement concept selection
Knowledge You Should Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited University and 0-2 years of relevant experience working within an Engineering organization
  • Proficient communication in verbal and written form
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work to ensure the highest value activities are delivered on time
  • Demonstrates initiative to solving problems and providing future thinking solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stake holders across multiple departments
  • Experience preparing and presenting data to audience of stakeholders
  • Experience using MS Office Suite of tools

Exceptional Candidates Might Have
  • Experience using Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) requirements capturing tool
  • Experience with requirements authoring methodologies
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering
  • Experience building AI agents
