Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport. You will plan, coordinate, and execute hardware/software integration in a secure IT environment to support UUVOC missions, collaborating with government leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or master’s with 2+ years.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or TS/SCI.
• Current DoD 8140 compliant certification (Network+/Security+/CCNA).
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience integrating hardware and software in networked IT environments.
• Two (2)+ years of cloud experience (AWS).
• Broad understanding of full lifecycle for secure IT system integration.
• Experience supporting system testing, phased deployments, and end-user training.
• Experience leading technical working groups and coordinating across stakeholders.
• Experience with secure integration planning and transition activities.

Help Deliver Mission Critical Technology for the U.S. Navy

Leidos is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Keyport. In this role, you will help plan, coordinate, and execute the integration of hardware and software solutions within a secure IT environment that supports the Unmanned Underwater Vehicle Operations Center (UUVOC). Working closely with government leadership and cross functional technical teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring complex systems are successfully integrated, tested, and deployed in support of critical Navy missions.

Program Timing:

This position supports an upcoming proposal opportunity with an anticipated September start.

What You'll Do

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of hardware and software integration efforts within a secure IT environment.
• Collaborate with government leadership and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of integrated system solutions.
• Prepare and deliver clear status updates, technical briefings, and reports for government leadership and project stakeholders.
• Translate complex technical concepts into concise, actionable documentation and communications for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Support the full system lifecycle, including integration planning, system testing, phased deployments, implementation, and transition activities.
• Document technical designs, integration plans, implementation activities, and system configurations.
• Facilitate technical working groups, coordinate across multiple stakeholder organizations, and help drive issue resolution and technical decision making.
• Help ensure integration activities align with cybersecurity, operational, and mission requirements.
• Support end user training and knowledge transfer activities during system implementation.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited program in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 4+ or 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree from an ABET accredited program in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 2+ or 6+ years of experience.
• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility or active TS/SCI.
• Current DoD 8140 compliant certification such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Cisco CCNA.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience integrating hardware and software solutions within networked IT environments.
• Two (2) or more years of experience implementing solutions using cloud computing services and hosting technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Broad understanding of the full lifecycle for integrating hardware and software into secure IT environments.
• Experience supporting system testing, phased deployments, implementation, and end user training.
• Experience facilitating technical working groups and coordinating efforts across multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with secure system integration planning, implementation, and transition activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Experience preparing technical documentation, leadership briefings, reports, and project status updates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting mission critical IT programs within Department of Defense or other government environments.
