Job summary

RTX in the United States is seeking a Radar System Special Test Equipment Engineer intern to help create, design, integrate and verify test equipment used in radar development and production.

You will write requirements, design FPGA-based test gear, create CAD schematics with Creo, and perform integration and testing. Ideal candidates are pursuing Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering degrees and have FPGA firmware experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical, Aerospace or Computer Engineering and actively enrolled through internship.
• Minimum of 60 hours of credit by start of internship/co-op.
• Experience with firmware development for FPGA (Xilinx/Altera).
• Experience can come from coursework, projects, or on-the-job work.

What You Will Do

• As a Radar System Special Test Equipment Engineer intern, you will be expected to create requirements, design, integrate and sell-off test equipment used for development and production of the Raytheon Radar Systems.
• Write Requirements for Test Equipment
• Design Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) based Test Equipment
• Create Schematics using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools such as Creo
• Integration and Test of Special Test Equipment

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical, Aerospace or Computer Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience with development of firmware on FPGA such as Xilinx(AMD) or Altera(INTEL)
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

• Experience using CAD software such as Creo, Orcad or equivalent.

The salary range for this role is 42,000 USD - 88,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
