Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Colorado is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to lead cross-functional efforts across CONOPS and fault management within a multi-segment architecture. The role emphasizes mission CONOPS development and fault detection and recovery across complex verification activities.

You will perform system integration, verification and validation, and drive interface definitions while supporting investigations and cross-team coordination. This position is based in Colorado.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field.
• Experience leading spacecraft design or spaceflight test programs.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specs.
• Experience with development of CONOPS for space vehicles.

This position will be a key element of the Systems Engineering team responsible for working systems engineering efforts across a complex multi-segment architecture including requirements, CONOPS and Fault Management, verification, and system integration. The primary focus will be CONOPS and mission fault detection and recovery.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Lead cross-program coordination of mission CONOPs and fault handling including flow-down and into the SW CSCI test and verification activities
• Support elements of the System level and Space segment level integration and test program
• Participate/lead failure investigations and anomaly resolution boards

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in an Engineering or closely related field
• Experience in leading Spacecraft design or test programs

Desired Skills

• Experience with development o or test of mission CONOPS and scenarios for space vehicles
• Experience in devopling Spacecraft Fault detection and handling
• Experience in Spacecraft/or Payload Development/ verification/ testing
• Experience in the development and execution of cross segment system integration

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00
