North Point Technology in St. Louis is seeking a Systems Engineering Architect to drive AWS Resiliency and Recovery initiatives. The role requires an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI and CI Polygraph. You will work closely with technical and program management leadership to design and implement cloud capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, AWS architecture, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include analyzing current systems, improving resiliency, and managing architecture documentation.
North Point Technology is looking to hire a Systems Engineering Architect to support AWS Resiliency and Recovery. The qualified candidate must currently hold an active Top Secret security clearance (with the ability to obtain SCI and CI Polygraph), and will work hand‑in‑hand with technical and program management leadership, along with various external stakeholders, to design and implement AWS Resiliency and Recovery capabilities including cross‑AZ recovery procedures, infrastructure automation, and automated failover orchestration. The ideal candidate brings experience across multiple Systems Engineering and architecture domains, with a focus on standing up and maintaining cloud environments and deploying custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments with a Geospatial focus.

This position involves systems engineering activities that support building and delivering innovative cloud‑based systems. The architect will analyze current system architecture and dependencies from a full‑stack perspective, identify opportunities to improve availability and resiliency, and own the system architecture roadmap and backlog in alignment with the customer's technology strategy. Responsibilities include decomposing requirements into epics and features, executing analysis of alternatives and prototypes, maintaining requirements and interface control documents, and communicating architectural decisions, design artifacts, and strategies to both development teams and executive management.
