Job summary

CAE USA Inc. in Binghamton, NY is seeking a Systems Engineer to design and maintain core systems for high-fidelity simulators that train pilots and operators. You will modernize legacy platforms, integrate new features, and ensure performance and reliability.

You will collaborate with software and hardware teams, support system reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to mission readiness while meeting DoD security requirements and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering for mission-critical or real-time environments.
• Strong problem-solving instincts and a passion for building reliable, high-performance systems.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Flexibility for overtime, shift work, weekend work, and CONUS travel.

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering for mission-critical or real-time environments.
• Strong problem-solving instincts and a passion for building reliable, high-performance systems.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access; U.S. citizenship required.
• Flexibility for occasional overtime, shift work, weekend work, and CONUS travel. Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704; ARINC / RTCA experience preferred.
• Experience working in Waterfall and/or Agile/Scrum environments.

Security Responsibilities Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
• Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Work Environment
• Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility.
• Must be able to work overtime on and off-shifts as required.
• The employee is on call 24x7 for the resolution of problems and issues. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator Salary Range: $125,700.00- $138,900.00 The actual compensation rate is subject to the evaluation of the following factors (but not limited to): the candidate's work experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and market.
