Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a senior radar systems engineer with strong software and modeling skills to translate customer requirements into robust software specifications. The role requires 5+ years of experience and proficiency in C++, MATLAB, and scripting for automation.

You will develop high-fidelity models, run simulations, and support agile systems engineering practices, including sprint planning and certification testing milestones. U.S. citizenship and security clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience converting radar requirements into software specifications and conducting system analysis.
• Proficiency in C++, MATLAB, and scripting languages for model-based analysis and automation.

Bachelor’s Degree Or Higher In Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, Or a Related STEM Field. Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In One Or More Of The Following

• systems engineering
• algorithm development
• software/system analysis
• requirements development
• verification & validation
• Trade studies
• modeling & simulation
• integration & test High proficiency in:
• C++ (or another object oriented language)
• MATLAB for analysis, modeling, and test automation
• Scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for task automation and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience with DOORs, git, Confluence Tool Suite
• Perform functional and radar performance analysis, requirements allocation, algorithm development, and/or interface definition to convert customer defined radar requirements into detailed software specifications.
• Develop high fidelity models and run simulations to evaluate radar system performance
• Provide individual contributor effort for the system design, and test for the RCP SCI and support agile systems engineering process including scrum meetings and sprint planning.
• Execute system verification activities, integration and test, and provide support for certification and testing milestones.
• Radar systems development experience including algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling and simulation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; able to produce clear technical documentation and deliver concise briefings.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance
