Job summary

Aperio Global is seeking a System Engineer to apply systems engineering principles across the full lifecycle—Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. The role interacts with government and senior executives, ensuring technical integrity and quality of deliverables across ISO/IEC 15288 process areas.

Responsibilities include leading engineering activities, decision making on complex issues, and SME participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field from an accredited college or university
• 15 years of systems engineering experience for level 5
• 20 years of systems engineering experience for level 6
• High School Diploma or GED
• 19 years of general systems engineering experience (any Process Area) for level 5
• 24 years of general systems engineering experience (any Process Area) for level 6
• Master’s degree or PhD in engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university
• Thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience for level 5
• Eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience for level 6

Responsibilities

• Brief stakeholders and present the status on all technical aspects of their project.
• Independently make decisions regarding engineering issues and methodology for a project.
• Approve delivery of work products of multiple Processes Areas defined in the ISO/IEC 15288.
• Lead contractor systems engineering activities for a project including supervising staff and technicians.
• Independently resolve important engineering issues requiring advanced technology.
• Plan and develop engineering projects with unique or complex aspects for enterprise priorities.
• Approve delivery of work products of all Process Areas defined in the ISO/IEC 15288.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more Process Areas defined in the ISO/IEC 15288.

is seeking for a System Engineer to apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288: Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal; Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement; Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management; Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply. dedicated to providing innovative solutions in cybersecurity. Level 5

• Approve delivery of work products of all Process Areas defined in the ISO/IEC 15288.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more Process Areas defined in the ISO/IEC 15288.

Security Clearance Requirements

This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.

Qualifications

Candidate must have one of the below:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus
• Fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience for level 5
• Twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience for level 6
• A High School Diploma or GED
• Nineteen (19) years of general system engineering experience (any Process Area) for level 5
• Twenty-four (24) years of general system engineering experience (any Process Area) for level 6
• A Master’s degree or PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus
• Thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience for level 5
• Eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience for level 6

Anticipated Salary Range

Level 5: 180k-200k

Level 6: 190k-210K

The salary range for this role represents Aperio’s good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Placement within the range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to an individual’s qualifications, relevant experience, education, certifications, technical skills, contract labor categories and/or rates, work location, market conditions, and business needs.
