Job summary

Charles Schwab Corporation in Fort Worth/Texas region is seeking a seasoned Splunk Administrator to maintain and optimize a large Splunk Enterprise deployment. You will support ingestion, dashboards, alerts, and system health while driving efficiency and observability improvements.

The role requires strong scripting skills (bash, Python) and ITIL-based incident/change management experience, with a track record of delivering reliable monitoring and rapid issue resolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience supporting large Splunk Enterprise deployments.
• Expertise in Splunk administration, SPL, and Linux (RHEL).
• Experience with bash/shell scripting and Python scripting.
• ITIL certified; familiar with structured problem, change, and incident management.
• Red Hat Certification / Admin.
• Git / Bitbucket proficiency.
• Regex proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines.
• Quick learner with strong adaptability in Splunk/observability knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities for maintaining Splunk, including setup, ingestion, and reviewing dashboards/reports/alerts.
• Provide support for Splunk administration, monitoring system health, and addressing issues promptly.
• Proficiency in monitoring tools, Linux administration, and Splunk administration, including installation and configuration changes.
• Develop and understand scripts for managing and supporting a large Splunk environment on Linux.
• Coordinate software version changes and utilize utility tools for system monitoring.
• Contribute to process improvement and additional platform support, including upgrades.
• Lead the team on projects as a primary project organizer.

As a member of the admin/support team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting andmaintainingSplunk, contributing to its efficient operation and strategicdevelopment, and migratingto anew observability model. Key responsibilities include supporting a 100TB Splunk Enterprise, troubleshooting and resolving issues,identifyingopportunities for enhancement, and documenting procedures. Additionally, you may contribute to the development ofobservabilitydashboards and configure monitoring and alerting systems.Strong communicationskills and the ability to plan, coordinate, and implement changes are essential.

Key Responsibilities

What you have

Required Qualifications

• - Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting large Splunk Enterprise deployments.
• -Expertisein Splunk administration and implementation, Splunk SPL, and Linux administration (RHEL).
• - Experience with bash/shell scripting and Python scripting
• - ITIL Certifiedandfamiliar withstructured environments for problem, change, and incident management
• - RedHat Certified/Admin
• - Bitbucket/GitHub proficient
• - Regex proficient.

• - Quick learner with strong adaptability and retention of Splunk and observability knowledge.
