Job summary

Crimson Phoenix is seeking a Systems Engineer to collaborate with security, operations and development teams to ensure mission continuity and robust system performance for our Herndon, Virginia environment.

You will engage in requirements gathering, design reviews, product evaluations and deployment activities, apply Agile/Scrum practices, troubleshoot systems, document SOPs, automate common problems with Bash, Python or PowerShell, ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and security

Responsibilities

• Participating in requirements gathering, the design process, product reviews, and deployment activities.
• Applying Agile/Scrum project management model for a given development effort.
• Troubleshooting systems, hardware, and software when issues occur.
• Documenting standard operating procedures needed to perform maintenance and deployment, and resolving more frequently encountered issues.
• Reducing commonly encountered problems in development or deployment via Bash, Python, or Powershell scripts.
• Ensuring system compliance with enterprise technical architecture and security directives.
• Assisting in keeping management apprised of project or program status.
• Assisting project and program teams in preparing for program management reviews.
