Job summary

Ambos Security GmbH is seeking a Systems Engineer, Security Technology to shape autonomous, AI-based security concepts. You will install security components at customer sites, configure devices, and develop test scenarios in a large test hall.

Responsibilities

• Install security components at customer sites and ensure secure network connections.
• Configure devices, IP addresses, storage, and mobile connections for towers/robots.
• Develop test scenarios in the 600 m² test hall and validate concepts in simulations.
• Serve as the on-site technical contact for cabling and integration with customers.
• Provide customer onboarding and assist with post-install configuration and troubleshooting.
• Support teammates with on-site analysis and fault-finding in live operations.

Systems Engineer, Security Technology (m/f/d)

With technical expertise and a passion for autonomous, AI-based security technology, you help shape state-of-the-art security concepts as part of our team.

In addition to jointly developing and optimizing innovative security concepts in
our test hall, you also take on successful on-site installation and configuration
at our customers—and take their protection standards to the next level!

• At our customers' sites (primarily regional, no long travel times), you install security components such as sensors, cameras, drone stations, or robots. You ensure a functioning infrastructure, secure network connectivity, and check that everything runs smoothly.
• To ensure that all devices work perfectly, you also take on
  device configuration, such as configuring cameras, assigning
  IP addresses, connecting storage systems or setting up
  mobile connections for camera towers or robots.
• Together with your teammates, you develop innovative test scenarios in our 600 m² test hall and validate our security concepts in demanding simulations before we implement them in customer projects.
• For on-site electricians at the customer, you are the knowledgeable point of contact when it comes to routing cables correctly or creating the right connections to integrate the security measures.
• You ensure the customer receives technical onboarding so they can operate all systems and, in future, carry out minor configuration adjustments themselves.
• With your expertise, you also support your team with troubleshooting, on-site analysis of an existing security concept, and fault-finding in live operations.

What you bring with you

• You're interested in autonomous, AI-controlled security technology and the innovative interplay of cameras, sensors, robots, drones, and AI-based security software.
• As a foundation, you have completed training in IT or electrical engineering—for example as an IT specialist, electronics technician, electrician, IT systems technician, or telecommunications technician (or comparable).
• You're familiar with scripting and have a very good understanding of the integrated configuration of various security components such as cameras, sensors, drones, and robots.
• Ideally, you have already gained hands-on experience in video surveillance, access control, or intrusion detection systems.
• You can communicate technical specifications and complex details clearly and succinctly—preparing customers as well as possible for independent use.
• To carry out your tasks successfully, you have very good German language skills and a Class B driving licence (car). You're also willing to undergo a security clearance in the future so that Ambos Security can offer its services in the critical infrastructure (KRITIS) sector as well.
