Dell is seeking a Systems Engineer for Government Customer research infrastructure in Chantilly, VA, on-site, five days a week. The role focuses on building and maintaining scalable lab platforms, virtualization stacks, and secure compute environments for researchers.

You will work across Linux and Windows, manage Proxmox/VMware ESXi/KVM/Hyper-V, and automate workflows with Bash, Python, and PowerShell, delivering rapid, tailored compute access to researchers.

• 8 years of hands-on experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Administration, or DevOps.
• Dual-OS proficiency: administering, securing, and troubleshooting across Linux and Windows.

You will act as the technical backbone for our research engineers, bridging bare-metal systems, hypervisors, and container orchestration to give researchers rapid, secure access to the compute environments they need.
