Job summary

Quantum Sky is seeking a Systems Engineer Physical Security to design, install, and maintain security systems across access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection. You will perform complex assignments, review technical work, and ensure proper operation of devices and systems.

Requirements include a degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, hands-on Lenel or Milestone expertise, and security certification.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and seven (7) years’ experience OR High School diploma with 10 years of electronic security installation experience.
• Five (5) years of installation experience with access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection and physical security systems to include gates, vehicle barriers and turnstiles.
• Hands-on installation, troubleshooting, or repair experience with either Lenel or Milestone systems.
• ACS/IDS installation, troubleshooting, and configuration experience with Lenel as the core access‑control system
• Milestone troubleshooting and configuration experience, specifically working with AXIS cameras as the primary imaging devices
• A minimum three (3) experience in the development of Installation and Engineering Design Plans.
• Experience programming and configuring Access Control solutions.
• Experience programming and configuring Video Management Systems (VMS).
• CompTIA Security + Certification.
• Lenel Certified Expert (LCE) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop Installation Design Plans (IDPs) and Base Electronic Systems Engineering Plans (BESEPs).
• Review system and error logs for any problem indications.
• Physical inspection of access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection devices to insure full functionality and proper alignment.
• Test access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection devices to verify proper operation.
• Test backup battery systems.
• Installation of access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection equipment in accordance with plans, specifications, and detailed instructions, or reinstalling repaired or modified equipment.
• Repair of access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection devices to include detecting and diagnosing malfunctions, tearing down equipment, repairing or replacing parts or components, or aligning, calibrating and testing the modified or repaired equipment.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment and systems in maximum operating condition.
• Fault isolation, repair, and testing of complex level problems.
• CONUS and OCONUS travel to effect installation and maintenance activity

Quantum Sky is searching for a Systems Engineer Physical Security with skills to compliment an experienced team of network engineers, system administrators, and engineering technicians performing security system design, installation, and maintenance. The position performs complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project, selects and adapts plans, techniques, or layouts, contacts personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work, reviews, analyzes, and integrates the technical work of others.

Compensation:

• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $170,000-$180,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
