Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a Systems Engineer/Outreach in Chantilly, VA to support a space program office. The role involves coaching GPOCs, coordinating program reviews, and contributing to space-domain capability development across contractor facilities.

You will synthesize intelligence processes, maintain effective collaboration, and ensure timely, quality deliverables while interfacing with government stakeholders and the prime contractor."

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship with TS/SCI + Poly clearance at date of application.
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field and 9 years of experience or a Masters and 4 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with DoW/IC acquisition lifecycle, programming, and SOW compliance.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills within high pressure environments.
  • Experience in reviewing installation/test procedures, monitoring execution, identifying risks, discrepancy resolution, and on‑site support.
  • Ability to report to designated work location in Chantilly, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support, coaching and mentoring Government points of contact (GPOCs) relative to ongoing capability development activities across diverse locations.
  • Coordinate multiple scopes of work such as major program reviews and Space Vehicle PSR.
  • Support Outreach Communication oversight and provide insight into the prime contractor's execution of Strategic IC Communication.

Responsibilities

SPA is looking for a Systems Engineer/Outreach with Space Domain experience in Chantilly, VA to support a very dynamic and innovative space program office. In this position, you will provide technical support, coaching and mentoring Government points of contact (GPOCs) relative to ongoing capability development activities happening across diverse geographically located contractor facilities. You will be coordinating multiple scopes of work such as major program reviews and Space Vehicle Pre-Ship Review (PSR). This role requires knowledge of intelligence processes and plans, excellent communication and collaboration skills, the ability to create unique work products, while having the ability to be strategically proactive. Will directly support the GPOC overseeing Outreach Communication providing critical insight into the prime contractor's execution of Strategic IC Communication.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills within high pressure environments
  • Experience in reviewing installation/test procedures, monitoring execution, identifying risks, discrepancy resolution, and on‑site support
  • Ability to report to designated work location in Chantilly, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer
Desired Qualifications
  • INCOSE, ESEP or CSEP
  • Experience using systems engineering processes, methods, tools, and program roles to develop, implement, and deploy solutions for Satellite Systems
  • Thorough understanding of space systems design, integration and test requirements and test execution, including test equipment support

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $150,000.00/Yr. - USD $195,000.00/Yr.
