Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a Systems Engineer to develop full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to validation. You will support lab activities, define interfaces, and integrate solutions into target environments, performing testing and documentation throughout.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance and hands-on experience in system integration, verification, and validation for ground or airborne platforms, with U.S. citizenship and security eligibility.

The Strategic Communications Team is seeking an Systems Engineer committed to creating creative and cost-effective solutions for our ground and airborne systems.

As part of Collins Aerospace, Mission Systems organization, we specialize in developing advanced communication systems, ground and flight computers, sensors, cyber and software solutions, as well as providing integration of Mission Systems. As part of the Strategic Communications Department, the Systems Engineering department supports a variety of communications systems including SATCOM (including AEHF, EHF, X-Band, Ka-Band, Ku-Band, C-Band, and PTW), Line-of-Sight (LOS) Radio Terminals and Secure Switching Networks.

U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have

• Strong integration and test experience including test procedure development, test execution, test reporting, and test automation
• Proficient in tooling to include Microsoft products, or tasking boards (Jira, IBM EWM, etc.)
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in Communication Radio and Systems: SATCOM, LOS/BLOS, AEHF, PTW, or V/UHF
• Experience in System Level Integration, Verification, and Validation (IV&V) for ground based, ship, submarine, or airborne platforms
• Experience in Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT)
• Agile working environment experience
• Test automation experience in a CI/CD environment
• Experience in systems support to software application and hardware development
• Experience in system or application integration
• Experience in Virtual Machine design and deployment
• Experience in Scripting

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
