Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the BNATCS contract, focusing on modernizing and integrating aircraft surveillance and radar systems for the NAS. The role requires leadership in end-to-end system engineering, from requirements through verification and validation, supporting mission-critical FAA programs.

The position is on-site in Herndon, VA, with opportunities to contribute to trade studies, system analyses, and architecture documentation while collaborating with FAA stakeholders

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust clearance.
• Experience across full lifecycle systems engineering (requirements, design, integration, V&V).
• Experience performing trade studies, system analyses, and performance evaluations.
• Experience developing and managing technical requirements and architecture documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end systems engineering across the full lifecycle.
• Drive development of concepts, architectures, and trade studies to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure objectives and requirements are met.
• Prepare and deliver technical documentation and presentations with findings and recommendations.
• Contribute to trade studies and analyses under mentorship of senior engineers.
• Participate in system-level reviews and support integration and testing activities.
