Description

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Systems Engineer – Level 5 to join our team in Chandler, AZ. The selected engineer will serve on an interdisciplinary team working on advanced systems solutions. Responsibilities include the design, development, and analysis of system architectures and ensuring that performance requirements are met in line with customer specifications.

Essential Functions

• Assist in development of system architectures.
• Support Flight Test specific verification efforts.
• Architecture, CONOPS, and use case development using model‑based systems engineering methodologies.
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Perform system requirements analysis.
• Automate workflow development of multi‑disciplined functional processes in support of various engineering and business processes.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of related experience, OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of related experience, OR PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of related experience.
• Must have an active DoD Government Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Software Engineering with experience using Model‑Based Systems Engineering.
• Experience in the military aerospace development environment.
