Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Gilbert, Arizona, is seeking a Systems Engineer - Level 4 to join our team. You will lead program technical execution, coordinate Platform, Payload, and Launch Vehicle interfaces, and serve as the primary technical interface to customers and management.

You will apply systems engineering best practices across the full lifecycle, drive reviews, mitigate risks, and mentor junior staff while supporting mission operations and testing in a demanding space environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s with 6+ years OR PhD with 4+ years.
  • Strong background in systems engineering including architectural studies, requirements management, hardware/software integration, and test planning.
  • Experience in spacecraft/space system integration & test, launch, and mission operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program technical execution per SE processes and best practices.
  • Function as primary technical interface for customers, program management, and engineering leadership.
  • Drive testing strategies, risk management, and readiness reviews across the lifecycle.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff; coordinate cross-disciplinary teams across platforms and payloads.
