Position Summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Systems Engineer – Level 3 or 4 at our Aurora, CO location.

Relocation Assistance

Security Clearance

Top Secret/SCI clearance required. Candidates must be willing to sit for a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation across all levels of the system product.
• Conduct cost and risk analyses, as well as supportability and effectiveness assessments.
• Translate customer or product requirements into total system solutions, considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Carry out functional, timeline, and detail trade studies, requirement allocation, and interface definition studies.
• Maintain and update operations procedures, incorporating lessons learned from real-time performance.
• Develop new procedures as required and interface with program and customer personnel.

Basic Qualifications – Level 3

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other STEM-related field with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Master’s; 1 year with a PhD.
• Experience in systems engineering, requirements, test plan/strategy.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application.
• Willingness to sit for a polygraph.

Basic Qualifications – Level 4

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other STEM-related field with 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years with a Master’s; 4 years with a PhD.
• Experience in systems engineering, requirements, test plan/strategy.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application.
• Willingness to sit for a polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience with JIRA.
• Experience with Model-Based Engineering (MBE)/Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and approach.

Compensation and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000 – $171,000. Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200 – $213,400. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and other benefits.
