Job summary

DCS Corp is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to conduct reviews, develop documentation, and support SE activities across the acquisition lifecycle in a demanding defense environment.

Ideal candidates have a DoD background, SE experience, and proficiency in Python, Linux, and Cameo. The role emphasizes risk management, validation, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering IPTs.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to maintain a Secret clearance are required.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience across the acquisition lifecycle.
• Experience developing system requirements, technical documentation, and engineering analyses.
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes, technical reviews, and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systems engineering and program reviews to evaluate plans, baselines, designs, and test results to meet specs.
• Prepare technical docs, management reports, and presentations supporting plans, implementation, and corrective actions.
• Perform system validation activities and develop criteria, procedures, and analytics.
• Provide SE support across acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, fielding, installation, and operations oversight.
• Support risk management activities following SEAM processes.
• Conduct engineering trade studies and analyses on performance, cost, reliability, and schedules.
• Support proposals, studies, audits, analyses, and IPT activities for feasibility and cost effectiveness.
• Review Air Force requirements and docu­mentation including SRDs, ICDs, CDDs, CPDs, CONOPs, AoAs, and PCA/FCAs.

Job description

Essential Job Functions

• Conduct systems engineering and program reviews to evaluate alternative plans, technical baselines, design efforts, and system-level test results to ensure subsystem and system performance meets approved program specifications
• Prepare technical documentation, management reports, and technical presentations supporting planning, implementation, and corrective actions
• Perform system validation activities, including development of criteria and procedures, and analyze results of major engineering systems
• Provide systems engineering support across acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, deployment/fielding, installation, and operations oversight activities
• Provide engineering support to program and project risk management activities in compliance with Air Force Systems Engineering Assessment Model (SEAM) processes
• Conduct engineering trade studies and technical analyses involving system performance, effectiveness, cost, lifecycle cost, reliability, maintainability, risk, and schedule
• Support proposal evaluations, technical studies, audits, analyses, and engineering IPT activities to assess technical feasibility, compatibility, and cost effectiveness
• Review and analyze Air Force requirements and acquisition documentation including SRDs, ICDs, CDDs, CPDs, CONOPs, AoAs, Technology Development Strategies, FCAs, and PCAs

Required Skills

• Due to the sensitivity of the customer, U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Level Clearance.
• Experience supporting systems engineering activities across the acquisition lifecycle.
• Experience developing system requirements, technical documentation, and engineering analyses.
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes, technical reviews, and configuration management principles.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience with 3+ years of experience in the DoD.
• Experience in engineering and technical resources with either USAF command or control reporting systems, tactical radar, shelter and radome systems, aircraft trainer pods, radios and communication systems, EW systems, or threat emitters depending on the specific branch needs.
• Experience with python, Linux, and Cameo.

Salary Range $96,757 - $145,000
