Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Systems Engineer III, Test Engineering to lead verification and validation efforts for complex aerospace systems in a hands-on testing environment. Qualifications

  • BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years in a test engineering or systems engineering role.
  • Proven experience with developing and executing test plans and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles: requirements, verification, validation.
  • Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools (LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).

Systems Engineer III, Test Engineering

As a Systems Engineer III, Test Engineering, you will play a crucial role in the verification and validation of complex systems. You will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, analyzing test data, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role requires a strong foundation in systems engineering principles and a passion for hands‑on testing.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for system-level verification and validation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in a test engineering or systems engineering role.
  • Proven experience with the development and execution of test plans and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements analysis, verification, and validation.
  • Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science in a related technical discipline.
  • Experience with the testing of complex integrated systems, such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, or aircraft.
  • Knowledge of environmental testing (e.g., vibration, shock, thermal, vacuum).
  • Experience with automated testing and test script development.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for testing and qualification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
Employment Information
  • Full-time, on-site position.
  • Some travel may be required.
Base Pay Range
  • For WA applicants: $121,023.00 - $169,432.20
  • Other site ranges may differ.
Benefits

  • Stock Options for all regular employees (working at least 20 hours/week).
  • Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
  • Dependent on role type and job level, employees may be eligible for benefits and bonuses based on the company's intent to reward individual contributions and enable them to share in the company's results, or other factors at the company's sole discretion.
  • Bonus amounts and eligibility are not guaranteed and subject to change and cancellation.
