The System Engineer III – Security IDaaS Engineer is responsible for improving, streamlining, and automating identity and access management services across the enterprise.

This role supports the Federation Services team by maintaining and enhancing the security posture of authentication, authorization, IDaaS, and API-based services.

The engineer will facilitate application integrations, manage IAM objects, support incident resolution, and apply change management processes.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with IDaaS technologies, cloud platforms, scripting, and identity standards, along with the ability to collaborate across teams to drive secure, efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support authentication, authorization, IDaaS, and federation services across the enterprise
• Configure and integrate applications with identity and access management systems
• Create and manage IAM objects such as users, groups, service accounts, and API tokens
• Develop and maintain rules, controls, and security safeguards to protect information assets
• Perform engineering activities including incident resolution, troubleshooting, and documentation
• Apply automation to reduce manual processes and improve time-to-market
• Follow change management processes and support continuous improvement in CM practices
• Assist in designing and developing code to build and maintain access management services
• Collaborate with team members to strengthen security architecture and identity governance
• Participate in knowledge sharing, enablement, and process optimization initiatives
• Work effectively in a team environment, prioritize tasks, and manage workload efficiently

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
• Experience with IDaaS platforms
• Knowledge of OAuth, SAML, IDM, and IGA
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
• Scripting experience (Postman, PowerShell)
• Proficiency with Okta
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and API-related security
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage technical tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, and CSF
• Experience with RBAC and Entra
• Knowledge of REST APIs and network/infrastructure fundamentals
• Experience with Python and Saviynt
• Experience with identity-driven automation and security best practices
