Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Dayton, OH is seeking a Systems Engineer III to join the IAS business area in a traditional on-site role. You will apply MBSE, lead requirements engineering, and coordinate system integration and verification activities for complex defense programs.

The position requires 6+ years of experience, a relevant engineering degree, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. You will mentor teammates, manage risk, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
  • Advanced proficiency with systems modeling and simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, and V&V principles.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols, hardware/software interface issues, and system/subsystem integration.
  • Experience with INCOSE standards and model-based systems engineering practices.

Responsibilities

  • Handle advanced requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE.
  • Lead system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management.
  • Mentor junior engineers and guide project work.
