Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer III to support development of a variety of military based, complex systems. You will lead the systems engineering efforts and support design, integration, and implementation of cutting-edge defense technologies.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our military customers. A Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience and an active Secret clearance are required, with SAP level

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline with 5 years of related experience.
• Excellent written and oral communications.
• Customer interfacing and ability to build relationships.
• Ability to work in teams and independently with minimal direction.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain SAP level clearance.
• Experience with system modeling and requirements decomposition is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct system modeling, operations analysis, and requirements decomposition in support of system design.
• Develop system requirement specification for the overall system including verification plans.
• Generate overall system architecture to satisfy customer, functional, reliability, and safety requirements.
• Address Engineering Lifecycle from development to manufacturing to fielding and support.
• Ensure requirements traceability, interface management, and risk analysis; coordinate milestone reviews.

About This Role

Experienced Systems Engineer to support development of a variety of military based, complex systems.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the systems engineering efforts and supporting the development of complex military systems. Your expertise and technical knowledge will be crucial in ensuring the successful design, integration, and implementation of cutting-edge defense technologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our military customers.

• Conduct system modeling, operations analysis, and requirements decomposition in support of system design. Perform system level trade analysis of different design options including estimated development and operational costs.

• Develop system requirement specification for the overall system including verification plans

• Generate overall system architecture to satisfy customer, functional, reliability, and safety requirements.

• Address Engineering Lifecycle from development to manufacturing to fielding and support

• Ensure requirements traceability, interface management, and risk analysis for the system. Coordinate and execute milestone project reviews, technical reviews, and decision tradeoff analysis.

Expertise in one or more of the following optional areas will be useful in this position:

• Use of Model Based Systems Engineering principles to develop SysML Models

• Experience with DOORS requirement management tool
