Job summary

SGS is seeking a senior systems engineer to oversee engineering activities and drive the design, development, testing, integration, and deployment of complex information systems. You will translate customer requirements into system and product specifications, manage configurations, and ensure successful production transitions while leading documentation and remediation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Project Management or related field.
• 5+ yrs of recent relevant experience.
• TS/SCI Clearance required.
• Preferred certifications: CEH, Cloud+, CySA+, PenTest+, SSCP, Legacy Elastic Certified Engineer, Splunk Core Certified Power User, Linux+, LPIC-1, RHCA.

Responsibilities

• Oversees engineering activities of an organization's information systems.
• Plans, designs, develops, evaluates, tests, and integrates an organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software.
• Captures, understands, translates, and documents customer requirements.
• Defines system and product requirements; and generates mechanical, electrical, and software performance and reliability specifications and requirements.
• Creates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution.
• Manages and documents system configurations, and oversees all transitions into production.
• Performs troubleshooting and remediation, ensures successful project implementation, and performs post project end user support.
