Systems Engineer I – Bellevue, WA

Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Systems Engineer I in Bellevue, WA to drive the strategic vision and management of Jira and Confluence ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design custom JIRA workflows to automate provisioning, building, and deploying servers and applications.
• Maintain, administer, enhance, and integrate JIRA and Confluence.
• Develop medium to complex JIRA workflows including project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
• Create JIRA projects, queries, reports, templates, custom issues, workflows, custom forms, and attributes.
• Troubleshoot and address issues arising with Confluence.
• Maintain and improve user access to Confluence.
• Review and approve global changes to Jira and Confluence to maintain system stability.
• Recommend best practices and standardization in implementing and leveraging processes within the Atlassian Suite.
• Discover, scope, and implement Jira and Confluence workflows that meet business needs.
• Research and recommend Atlassian products, plug‑ins, and roadmap features for future enhancements to support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Information Systems, or related field or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience designing custom JIRA workflows.
• Proficiency with REST Services, VB Script, Java, JavaScript, Groovy, SQL, Python.
• Experience with Agile Kanban/Scrum, networking, DNS, database, web proxies, Active Directory, and Web APIs.

Salary range: $164,800.00 – $221,500.00/year
