Job summary

SeekWell, parent to 1-800 Contacts, Luna, and The Framery, seeks a Systems Engineer I to support IT systems, apps, and infrastructure. You’ll monitor health, respond to requests, troubleshoot issues, and maintain secure environments while partnering with IT and business teams.

This growth‑oriented role offers a hybrid schedule in Draper, Utah, with on‑site work two days weekly, plus an on‑call rotation and learning opportunities to advance in systems engineering.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on IT, systems administration, or related experience.
• Experience with Windows environments, AD, and Microsoft 365.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with endpoint management, virtualization, backups, monitoring tools, and ticketing systems.
• Basic scripting or automation experience, preferably with PowerShell.
• Strong problem solving and clear communication with technical and non-technical partners.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant certifications or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance, availability, and security; escalate issues as needed.
• Respond to system-related support requests and troubleshoot hardware, software, and access issues.
• Administer core systems: Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, M365, SharePoint, Azure, AWS.
• Support releases, patching, backups, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Maintain endpoint management processes and device configuration using Intune or SCCM.
• Use PowerShell or other scripting tools for automation and reporting.
• Document troubleshooting steps, changes, and standard processes for scalability.
• Collaborate with network, security, help desk, and business teams to deliver solutions.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for urgent issues.

As a Systems Engineer I, you’ll help support the systems, applications, and infrastructure that keep SeekWell’s businesses running. This is a growth-oriented engineering role where you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to monitor system health, respond to support requests, troubleshoot issues, and help maintain secure and reliable technology environments. Schedule and work expectations

This is a full-time role with core working hours that may vary between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. This role also participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation every few weeks, including occasional after-hours support when urgent issues arise.

What you’ll do

• Monitor system performance, availability, and security, escalating issues when needed.
• Respond to systems-related support requests and help troubleshoot hardware, software, access, storage, and application issues.
• Assist with administration of core systems such as Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure, AWS, and related business applications.
• Support software releases, patching, upgrades, backups, and infrastructure maintenance activities.
• Help maintain endpoint management processes, including device configuration, compliance, and deployment support through tools such as Intune or SCCM.
• Use PowerShell or other scripting tools to support automation, reporting, and repeatable operational tasks.
• Document troubleshooting steps, system changes, standard processes, and known issues so the team can scale support effectively.
• Partner with network, telecom, software development, help desk, security, and business teams to understand needs and deliver practical solutions.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation and help respond to urgent system issues.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of hands-on IT, systems administration, help desk, infrastructure, cloud, or related technical experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, and basic security practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with endpoint management, virtualization, backup tools, monitoring tools, or ticketing systems.
• Basic scripting or automation experience, preferably with PowerShell.
• Ability to troubleshoot methodically, research unfamiliar issues, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field, relevant certifications, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience with Intune, SCCM, Azure Active Directory/Microsoft Entra ID, VMware, Hyper-V, SQL Server, IIS, or SharePoint administration.
• Relevant Microsoft, Azure, AWS, CompTIA, ITIL, or security certifications.
• Linux experience or exposure to software development, DevOps, CI/CD, or infrastructure-as-code concepts.
