Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Hardware Systems Engineer to join our Mission Systems team in Owego, NY. You will help develop Advanced Processing systems, from requirements through product integration, ensuring technical integrity and timely delivery.

You will apply model-based engineering, test automation, and Agile methods, collaborating across engineering and program teams. This onsite role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret-level DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Systems Engineering with 2+ years of professional experience.
• Experience with hardware design from requirements derivation through product integration.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to hardware–software–firmware product integration from requirements through product integration.
• Support Systems Engineering and Hardware Development Process Implementation.
• Ensure technical integrity and on-time delivery within cost and schedule constraints.
• Apply digital transformation tools to enhance development processes (MBSE, test automation, Agile).

The Work

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Hardware Systems Engineer to join our Mission Systems team. In this role, you will play a key part in the development of Advanced Processing systems and subsystems, supporting all aspects of hardware development from requirements derivation through product integration. You’ll contribute to efforts, ensuring the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work, and ensuring that project deliverables meet cost and schedule commitments. You will also utilize Digital Transformation practices, including model‑based engineering, test automation, and Agile development, to define product capabilities and drive innovation.

• Contribute to product development activities, including requirements derivation through product integration for products that include hardware, software, and firmware components.
• Supporting overall organizational process compliance, including the Systems Engineering and Hardware Development Process Implementation.
• Ensuring the technical integrity and completeness of deliverables, and ensuring cost and schedule commitments are met.
• Leveraging Digital Transformation tools to enhance development processes.

This position is fulltime onsite in Owego, NY.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government security clearance at Secret level.
