Job summary

CircuitHire is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join a market-leading defense communications team in Los Angeles. You will own the systems development for brand-new Electronic Warfare projects, leading architecture, requirements, integration, testing, and documentation while collaborating with hardware, software, and embedded teams.

The role may be remote for an experienced engineer, with a salary range of $150k-$200k plus bonuses and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 5+ years' experience delivering complex hardware/software systems.
• Experience with requirements management and systems engineering tools (DOORS, Cameo, Jama, etc.).
• Strong understanding of system lifecycle, integration, and validation processes.
• Previous experience with Radios and/or Electronic Warfare is a plus!
• MBSE / SysML experience
• MATLAB or Python proficiency
• Experience with distributed systems, communications, sensing, or other advanced technology platforms

Responsibilities

• Own the systems development for brand-new Electronic Warfare projects, leading architecture and requirements.
• Lead system architecture, requirements management, integration, testing, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate across hardware, software, and embedded engineering teams.
• Apply MBSE/SysML methods to model and validate system behavior.
• Coordinate verification activities and ensure traceability from requirements to tests.

This will involve leading system architecture, requirements management, integration, testing, and technical documentation while collaborating across hardware, software, and embedded engineering teams.
