Job summary

Boeing in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Systems Engineer at associate, experienced, or lead level to develop advanced concepts on a DoD program. The role is embedded with Systems Engineering Integration & Team, supporting requirements derivation, design, procurement, integration, test, and verification across the full lifecycle.

Responsibilities include maintaining system requirements, performing trade studies, MBSE tooling like SysML/CAMEO, and collaboration with cross-functional engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in requirements development, verification, validation, ICDs, risk/issues management and/or trade studies.
• Experience with the Systems Engineering lifecycle and SE product development.
• Strong analytical, collaboration and organizational skills.

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Systems Engineer (Associate, Experienced, or Lead) to join our team in Albuquerque, NM developing new advanced concepts on a DOD propriety program. The position will be embedded with Systems Engineering Integration & Team supporting the entire product life cycle of the program through requirements derivation and development, design, procurement, integration, test, and verification and validation.

Position Responsibilities

• Develops, improves and maintains system and subsystem requirements, interfaces control documents/specifications, etc.
• Utilizes enabling technologies for requirements modeling & simulation, management, collaboration & interoperability.
• Performs requirements flow down/allocation and traceability along with development of verification matrices.
• Ability to perform trade studies to optimize overall system and subsystem performance.
• Facilitate technical discussions with chief engineers (CEs), subject matter experts (SMEs), technical lead engineers (TLEs) across multiple engineering disciplines to identify and formulate plans to execute and implement solutions to resolve technical issues.
• Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 2+ years of experience with requirements development, verification, validation, ICDs, risk, issues and opportunities management and/or trade studies
• Experience with the Systems Engineering product development lifecycle
• Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience)

• Level 3: 5+ years of experience with requirements development, verification, validation, ICDs, risk, issues and opportunities management and/or trade studies
• Level 4: 9+ years of experience with requirements development, verification, validation, ICDs, risk, issues and opportunities management and/or trade studies
• Experience with CAMEO or other model-based system engineering (MBSE/SysML) tools
• Experience with DOORS or other requirements management tools
• Experience with CONOPS development
• Familiarity with complex electro-optical or related systems
