Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Colorado Springs seeks an experienced Systems Engineer Asc. to support a SATCOM system. You will lead Agile ceremonies as Scrum Master, perform system analyses, and coordinate design reviews across subsystems.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in engineering, understanding of systems engineering, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. The role requires self-direction and strong collaboration within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent mix of education/experience.
  • Understanding of systems engineering processes.
  • Experience in agile development processes, roles, and rhythms (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Systems Engineer Asc. to support systems engineering and design analysis for a satellite communications (SATCOM) system.

As a Systems Engineer, You Will

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or a closely related field–or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience
  • Understanding of systems‑engineering processes
  • Experience in agile development process, roles, and rhythms (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. US Citizenship is required
Desired Skills
  • Experience supporting Agile teams and facilitating Scrum ceremonies
  • Experience performing Systems Engineering activities in the aerospace industry, with a focus on ground segments or satellite communications systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work in self-directed manner, work independently, and leverage best practices
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00
