Job summary

Real Time Consulting in Phoenix seeks a Systems Engineer - Aircraft State to join our team responsible for development, integration and verification of aircraft state monitoring and synoptics on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.

You will work with sensors (Air Data, AHRS, GPS) and interface with aircraft systems (flaps, gear, FADEC) while applying model-based design with Simulink and Python scripting to deliver robust verification and integration capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS or related field.
• 5+ years in aerospace industry.
• Experience developing avionics requirements.
• Experience validating avionics systems.
• Experience with avionics integration and verification.
• Model-based design with Simulink.
• Python scripting for automated testing.

JOBTITLE: Systems Engineer - Aircraft State

ABOUT THE JOB:

Be part of a team that is responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Aircraft State and/or Aircraft Systems monitoring and synoptics applications to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.

REQUIREDSKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of Aerospace Industry experience
• Experience in avionics systems requirement development
• Experience in avionics validation
• Experience in avionics integration
• Experience in avionics verification
• Experience with Simulink model-based systems design
• Experience with Python scripting for automating testing
• Experience working with sensors used for aircraft position and navigation (Air Data, AHRS, GPS, etc.)
• Experience integrating or interfacing with aircraft systems (flaps, gear, cabin pressure, FADEC, etc.)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Accountable and takes ownership of assigned tasks

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience with ARINC 661 model-based graphics software development
