Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet - FII is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Server Operations team. You will manage, secure, and optimize IT infrastructure, with focus on Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, and cloud/virtual environments.

The role requires 5–7 years in IT infrastructure, strong Windows Server experience (2016–2025), and familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools and automation platforms. On-site work with potential weekend maintenance and after-hours support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT/computer science or related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive IT infrastructure, systems administration, or server operations.
  • At least 3 years supporting large-scale Windows Server and virtualization environments.
  • Response to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Server Support – Level 2 support for Windows and Linux servers; troubleshoot performance issues, outages.
  • Systems Administration – Install, configure, maintain, optimize Windows and Linux servers.
  • Identity & Directory Services – Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GP, domain controllers, NTP, certificates.
  • Security & Vulnerability – Identify and resolve vulnerabilities; patching, hardening, compliance.
  • Incident Management – Troubleshoot incidents; root-cause analysis and follow-up.
  • Monitoring & Automation – Use SCOM, Zabbix, SCCM, Ansible Tower for monitoring and automation.
  • Virtualization & Backup – Support virtual servers, backups, recovery processes.
  • Cloud Infrastructure – Manage cloud infra, VMs, Entra ID Connect, RBAC, DNS, Site Recovery.
  • Monitoring Improvements – Improve visibility and issue detection through monitoring.
  • Infrastructure Projects – Support upgrades, migrations, new tech implementations.
  • Maintenance & Upgrades – Participate in scheduled maintenance; occasional weekend work.
  • On-Call Support – On-call rotation and after-hours support for critical issues.

Summary

The Systems Engineer is a key member of the Server Operations team responsible for managing, maintaining, securing, and improving the company’s IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Server Support – Provide Level 2 support for Windows and Linux servers. Troubleshoot performance issues, system problems, and outages.
  • Systems Administration – Install, configure, maintain, and optimize Windows and Linux servers.
  • Identity & Directory Services – Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Domain Controllers, NTP, and Certificate Services.
  • Security & Vulnerability Management – Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities. Support patching, system hardening, security standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Incident Management – Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents. Perform root-cause analysis, elevate issues when needed, and follow up after incidents are resolved.
  • Monitoring & Automation – Use tools such as SCOM, Zabbix, SCCM, and Ansible Tower to monitor systems, respond to alerts, troubleshoot issues, and automate routine tasks.
  • Virtualization & Backup – Support virtual server environments, virtualization platforms, backup systems, and recovery processes.
  • Cloud Infrastructure – Manage and support cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, Entra ID Connect, RBAC, DNS, and Site Recovery. Support the design and deployment of cloud Landing Zones.
  • Monitoring Improvements – Help evaluate and improve system and endpoint monitoring to provide better visibility and identify issues early.
  • Infrastructure Projects – Support infrastructure projects, system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
  • Maintenance & Upgrades – Participate in scheduled maintenance, including occasional weekend work, for patching, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
  • On-Call Support – Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for critical infrastructure issues and emergencies as needed.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or server operations.
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting large-scale Windows Server and virtualization environments.
  • Response to after-hours emergencies as needed
  • Strong hands‑on experience administering Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2016–2025.
  • Experience administering Linux server environments and common Linux distributions.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure technologies, including:
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring and management tools such as SCOM, Zabbix, and SCCM.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management using Ansible Tower or similar technologies.
