Job summary

Client Solution Architects (CSA) is seeking a Systems Engineer III to support a program onsite in San Diego, CA. This role will design, implement, and maintain secure software delivery pipelines for naval software across multiple classification domains and CI/CD environments.

The ideal candidate will apply modern DevSecOps practices, containerized architectures, and DoD pipeline standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure mission-critical delivery in a defense setting.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• Seven+ years in full lifecycle software development for containerized, VM, and cloud architectures across multiple security domains using Agile.
• Four+ years applying DevSecOps with automated security testing in CI/CD pipelines; experience with DoD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain full lifecycle pipelines for containerized, VM, and cloud architectures.
• Implement and optimize DevSecOps automation across Unclassified, Secret, and Top-Secret domains.
• Configure automated security testing tools (SAST/DAST/SCA and container scanners) as CI/CD gates.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure software delivery pipelines that operate across multiple classification domains and challenging operational environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in modern DevSecOps practices, containerized architectures, and defense-specific platform integration.

How Role Will Make An Impact

• Engineer and maintain full lifecycle software development pipelines for containerized, virtual machines, and cloud-based architecture
• Implement and optimize DevSecOps automation across Unclassified, Secret, and Top-Secret security domains
• Configure and integrate automated security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, and container scanners) as quality gates within CI/CD pipelines
• Design and troubleshoot interoperable software systems for deployment in Denied, Disrupted, Intermittent, and Limited-bandwidth (DDIL) environments
• Support software delivery to afloat and ashore Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver mission-critical capabilities
• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements and government-mandated pipeline standards
• Provide technical expertise for integration with allied partner systems and emerging autonomous platforms

Requirements

What you’ll need to have to join our award-winning team:

• Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• A bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Minimum Seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in full lifecycle software development for containerized, virtual machine, and cloud-based architecture across multiple security domains (Unclassified, Secret, Top Secret) using Agile methodologies
• Minimum Four (4) years of demonstrated experience applying DevSecOps principles, including:
• Configuring automated security testing tools (SAST/DAST/SCA and container scanners) as quality gates directly in CI/CD pipelines
• Working within highly regulated, government-mandated pipelines (e.g., Overmatch Software Armory (OSA) or equivalent DoD enterprise DevSecOps environments)

Minimum Three (3) years of demonstrated experience engineering, integrating, and troubleshooting interoperable software systems within critical defense platforms, specifically:

• Denied, Disrupted, Intermittent, and Limited-bandwidth (DDIL) environments
• Afloat and ashore Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments
• Navy's Agile Core Services (ACS)
• USMC's Common Hosting Environment (CHE)
• Architecture designed for Five Eyes (FVEY) partner interoperability
